I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Practitioner (CAT) and a Health Professions Council (HPC) Registered Music Therapist. I have worked for over fifteen years in therapeutic practice with the NHS, and continue to be a Clinical Research Lead in arts psychotherapy services for Nottinghamshire healthcare NHS Trust.
I trained for over seven years in CAT and in mental health studies at the medical school of Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals in London (Kings College London) and before that in Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Initially trained as a professional musician at the Royal Academy of Music and subsequently working professionally as an orchestral musician, teacher and soloist, I am a member of the UKCP and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). This ensures the highest ethical standards of good clinical practice.
