I am offering brief and longer term counselling for a whole range of psychological problems.
I specialise in time-limited treatment and longer-term psychodynamic therapy work,
either of which can include a creative arts element at the choice of the Client if assessed and agreed as appropriate.

I have worked for over twelve years in therapeutic practice with the NHS, and continue to be a Clinical Team Leader in arts psychotherapy services for Nottinghamshire healthcare NHS Trust.  

Over seven years I trained in mental health studies then in Cognitive Analytic Therapy ( known as CAT ) at the medical school of Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals in London (Kings College London) and before that in Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Initially trained as a professional musician at the Royal Academy of Music and subsequently working professionally as an orchestral musician, teacher and soloist, I am also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). This ensures the highest ethical standards of good practice
